The founding vision of Wolf Creek Engineering is to build an engineering and environmental consulting practice that is a market leader in innovative designs and client service while developing projects that add value to society and the natural environment. In pursuing these goals we are dedicated to developing the skills and character of those who join Wolf Creek, so that by bringing out the best in the members of our team we give our best to the clients that we serve.

Wolf Creek Engineering was founded in 2005 by a team of regional leaders in the stream and wetland restoration field. By forming a strategic alliance with North State Environmental, Inc., we are able to provide design-build services. This cooperative approach to stream design and construction allows for an integrated and flexible process that produces quality innovative solutions to the many challenges of stream restoration. 

Wolf Creek Engineering strives to provide a balanced approach to restoration design by incorporating both sound engineering and biological principals to facilitate long-term success.  Through training and experience we have developed a firm grasp of stream hydrology, stream morphology, soil bioengineering, application of stream classification methodologies, and natural channel design.  Our design experience includes projects in the mountain, piedmont, and coastal plain physiographic provinces in North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee on streams with a variety of geomorphic expressions including single-thread and anastomosed patterns, gravel and sand bed material, and rural and urban watersheds.
